Rate limits are applied per organization, not per API key. The limits are calculated using a rolling window algorithm for fair distribution.

How Rate Limits Work

  1. Each request consumes one unit from your rate limit
  2. Limits are calculated per minute (60-second window)
  3. When exceeded, you receive a 429 Too Many Requests error
  4. The Retry-After header indicates when you can retry
